When I first started as a real estate agent, I was shocked and dismayed at the lack of support that I received from my broker, especially considering how much I was paying them in fees. As I grew in the industry and started my own brokerage, I vowed that I would support my agents with all of the tools and resources that I needed, but never got.
Honesty, integrity and effective systems are the cornerstones of my management philosophy. My agents depend on me for constant support, ongoing education, career guidance, and proprietary tools they can’t get anywhere else. My frequent community events – giving back is another passion of mine – give my agents a solid reputation to build from. I am constantly advertising or marketing an upcoming event, so my agents always have more to talk about with their clients than just a financial transaction.
Non-competing broker/owners will try to sell you on the fact that you won’t have to compete directly with them, but that’s not the benefit they think it is. As an owner/manager AND a producing agent, I’m not just building a brokerage. I spend my days in the same market space as my agents so that I always know what they’re going through. I know what’s happening, and I know how to react.
